Meet Pam Rosser 🌿

A long-time volunteer with Easy Care Gardening, Pam has made a lasting impact on both clients and fellow volunteers. As a former Monday team leader, her guidance, support and ability to truly understand client needs created a positive and welcoming experience for everyone involved.

Pam stepped back from leadership to spend more time with family, but her passion for volunteering never left. With her strong gardening knowledge and a knack for weeding and tidying, Pam continues to be a steady, reliable and much-valued presence in the garden.

Meet Mary Lapsley🌿

With an artist’s eye for structure, colour and texture, Mary transforms gardens into peaceful, vibrant oasis’. Her warm, friendly nature makes her a favourite with clients, who often seek her advice and ideas to bring their spaces to life.

Part of the beloved trio known as “my ladies” in St Ives, Mary brings joy, care and creativity to every visit, while also mentoring new volunteers with ease.

Mary’s passion, talent and kindness make her a truly valued member of the Easy Care Gardening community.

Meet Bruce Donnelley🌿

A valued member of the Monday team, Bruce is rarely without his secateurs, happily pruning and shaping as he goes. He brings not only skill, but a friendly, easygoing nature, always up for a chat with clients and fellow volunteers alike.

Bruce’s dedication truly shines. After an unfortunate run-in with ticks that required medical treatment, he was back gardening just a fortnight later, going well above and beyond what’s expected.

Outside of Easy Care Gardening, Bruce also volunteers with the local Men’s Shed and SAN Hospital, and channels his creativity as an artist, with work exhibited across the district!

Bruce’s resilience, generosity and good humour make him a truly deserving nominee.

Meet Helen Logie 🌿

Volunteering each Monday across Turramurra, St Ives and Gordon, Helen brings an incredible depth of knowledge and passion to every garden she steps into. After settling in Australia, she made it her mission to learn everything she could about native plants, bush regeneration, and local ecosystems.

Today, Helen is her team’s `go-to expert` on plants, weeds and insects. Whether it’s identifying a tricky species or sharing advice on how to manage a garden sustainably, Helen’s expertise is second to none!

With a background in bush regeneration and land management, Helen brings a thoughtful, environmentally conscious approach to her work. Something both clients and the team deeply value.

But beyond her knowledge, it’s Helen’s generosity in sharing what she knows, her willingness to help, and her genuine passion for gardening that make her such an important part of the Easy Care Gardening community.

Helen’s dedication, expertise and love for the natural environment make her a truly deserving nominee for Volunteer of the Year.

Meet Noel McClean 🌿

Precision, care and dedication - that’s Noel.

As part of the Monday team, Noel is an exceptional pruner and trimmer. No task is too big or too small. He approaches every job with a calm, methodical rhythm: cutting, observing, refining, and leaving everything neat and beautifully bundled.

What truly sets Noel apart is his commitment to getting it `just right`. He listens carefully to each client, checks his understanding, and ensures the final result matches exactly what they envisioned.

Currently, Noel is taking time to support his family as he awaits the arrival of his third grandchild, a reflection of the same care and dedication he brings to volunteering.

Client-focused, thoughtful and meticulous, Noel is a truly valued member of the Easy Care Gardening community.
