Become a Client
We support local seniors living in their own homes who are no longer able to maintain a safe and sustainable garden. Our volunteers are passionate about helping others and connecting with their community.
Easy Care Gardening (ECG) operates under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and is a subsidised service, with clients contributing towards the cost of any CHSP service they receive. Costs vary and are provided on application with the service.

The following is a step-by-step guide on how to become a client:
1 – All new clients first apply for a referral to Easy Care Gardening through My Aged Care (Department of Health and Aged Care) by phoning 1800 200 422 free call
2 – After ECG receives a client’s referral from My Aged Care, an application letter will be posted to the applicant*, which needs to be returned to us before a Garden Assessment can occur.
- The cost of our volunteer-based gardening service is less than commercial organisations because of our reduced labour costs.
- You will experience meeting our incredible volunteers and connecting with them through shared learning as they help you learn new skills or re-learn skills needed for keeping a safe and sustainable garden.
